If it has a text box,
you can talk to it.

AirNote types where your cursor is, so there is nothing to connect. A chat, an email, an issue or a prompt all take dictation the same way.

How it works

Hold Fn, or any key you choose, and talk. Let go, and it is typed. A small pill on screen shows that AirNote is listening.

Built for Hinglish

Hindi and English,

Say half a sentence in Hindi and the rest in English. AirNote types it the way you would type it yourself: Hinglish in Roman letters, with the English words left in English.

Polish

Clean text when you want it.
Your exact words when you don't.

Polish fixes the punctuation, drops the filler words and spells your Dictionary words your way. Switch it off, and AirNote types exactly what you said.

Questions

Which Macs does it run on?

Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or later), on macOS 13 or later. The current version is 2.4.5. A Windows beta, version 2.4.4, is available too.

What does AirNote keep?

Every dictation, in your History: what you said, and the text you kept. Search it, copy from it or export it. The privacy policy has the details.

Which languages does it understand?

English, Hindi and Hinglish, the mix of the two in one sentence. Hinglish is typed in Roman script, the way you would type it yourself.

What is the Dictionary for?

Names, brands and terms that should be spelled your way. Polish uses it: when a dictation contains a word as AirNote hears it, polish writes it the way you added it. With polish off, the Dictionary is not used.

Which apps does it work in?

Any app where you can type. AirNote types where your cursor is, once macOS has given it the Microphone, Accessibility and Input Monitoring permissions. The guide shows how.

What is Clario C1?

EMIAC's own Hinglish speech model, fine-tuned from Whisper base on 41 hours of Hinglish speech. AirNote downloads it once after installing, about 141 MB, and keeps it up to date. Read more about Clario C1.

Can my whole company use it?

Yes. People sign in with email or Lark, the workspace has admin roles, the company's words reach every desktop, and usage is counted for the whole team. Talk to us.
