A better Hinglish model. A simpler AirNote.
Every Apple silicon Mac dictates with Clario C1, a new on-device Hinglish model. Polish can be switched off, one Dictionary replaces the learning screens, History keeps the text you actually sent, and the status pill has been redrawn.
Speech model
- Clario C1, trained on 41 hours of Hinglish speech, runs on every Apple silicon Mac, whatever its memory.
- The model updates itself, and is checked before it replaces the old one.
- An interrupted download leaves your current model working, and AirNote tries again later.
Dictation
- A switch in Settings turns polish off. AirNote then types exactly what you said.
- With polish on, a shorter instruction and your Dictionary words go to the model, and its reply is typed as it is.
- Tap to talk now works on Fn and the other modifier keys, alongside hold to talk.
- Fixed a new recording being stopped right after the previous one ended.
Dictionary and History
- One Dictionary for the names, brands and terms AirNote should spell your way. It replaces Vocabulary, Learnings and Buckets.
- Correct a name after it is typed and AirNote adds it to your Dictionary, and says so in a note you can undo.
- History shows the text you kept after editing, with AirNote's own version one click away.
The status pill
- A smaller pill that grows to fit what it is showing, and shrinks away when it is done.
- Dots that rise with your voice, the live transcript above them, and a check when the text lands.
- When you have to paste yourself, the pill says so and shows the shortcut.
A focused app
- Meetings and the Divo assistant have been removed.
- AirNote no longer asks for Screen Recording permission, and does no meeting work in the background.
