EMIACThe app
The AirNote app is free, open-source software under the MIT licence. You may run it on any computer you use, for any purpose, and read, change or share its code on the licence's terms. The licence is the authoritative grant; this page does not narrow it.
Updates are installed only when they are signed with AirNote's update key. The name AirNote and its logo belong to EMIAC; a changed copy of the app should use a different name.
The service
Signing in connects the app to AirNote's server, which EMIAC runs, or to your company's own server. The service polishes text, keeps your History and, in a company workspace, lets admins look after members and usage.
- Keep your sign-in to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has it.
- We may change, limit or stop parts of the service, and will say so in the changelog when we do.
- We may suspend an account that is used to break these terms or to harm the service or other people.
Using it well
AirNote types into other apps on your behalf. You are responsible for what it types and where it sends it, as you would be if you had typed it yourself. Check important text before you send it: speech recognition and polish can get words wrong.
Do not use AirNote to record people without their consent, or for anything that is against the law where you are.
Your content
What you dictate is yours. We handle it only to run AirNote for you, as the privacy policy describes, and we do not sell it. In a company workspace, your company's admins can see its members' dictations.
Other services
Polish and cloud speech run on services we do not control, such as DeepInfra, and sign-in can use Lark. They can be slow or unavailable, and they have their own terms. If one fails, AirNote types what it has rather than nothing.
No warranty
AirNote is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, and the service without any promise that it will always be available. To the extent the law allows, EMIAC is not liable for lost data, missed words, text typed in the wrong place, or any indirect loss from using AirNote. Keep your own copy of anything that matters.
Changes and contact
If these terms change, the date at the top changes, and a real change is noted in the changelog. Using AirNote after a change means you accept it; if you do not, stop using the service and uninstall the app. Questions: inc@emiac.us.
